Tintin is a fictional character protagonist of the renowned Belgian comic series Les Aventures de Tintin (The Adventures of Tintin) created and drawn by Hergé commonly considered a forerunner and reference model of the light line style of the Franco-Belgian school.
Tintin is a young Belgian reporter, protagonist of adventures all over the world together with his inseparable dog Milù (Milou). Starting from the ninth issue of the series The Golden Crab he is joined by the choleric Captain Haddock, and starting from the twelfth issue The Treasure of Rackam the Red, by the scientist Trifone Sunflower.
Nothing is known about Tintin, neither his family nor his age; we know that he is a reporter, even if we never see him at work. To justify his commitments around the world without an obvious source of income, the author Hergé makes him participate in a successful treasure hunt, which (evidently) allows him and his friends, Captain Haddock and the bizarre Professor Girasole to live on income.
